Lord, I pray for Pat this morning, who has confessed a lot of self-doubt and shame resulting from his union with this young lady. Grant him your release from the shame Lord and give him clarity of mind and thought to see his situation from your perspective. Help him to know clearly what he should do in his responsibility before you to this young woman whom he has united with, and that walking away will not take away the fact that this union has taken place. Draw them both close to you first of all, Lord, and then to each other in a united partnership of service to You. Bless Pat for his commitment to loving and serving you, and to doing what his right. Give him first of all clarity to what You want him to do in this situation, and then the grace and strength to do it.
