Partner with me for a sweet saint...

Posted by Sheshisown on September 21, 2007 at 19:28:20:

A special request for a sunday school teacher.

We have an awesome older gal in our sunday school ministry, she is past 70, and teaches the second graders, who are all wiggles and giggles if you know that age. She always has a super craft ready, and a fun game to play to teach them the scripture, and she has been so very faithful in Christ.

She has only begun teaching, about one year and I was the person to disciple her. She has had a car accident and is still recovering. The result of this is that she has been suffering from a great deal of pain in her back that the doctors have not diagnosed yet.

This pain is difficult to deal with, coming on while she is teaching at times, and she gets a little cranky with the kids when this happens.

It is my responsibility to speak to her about the effects her pain is having in the class, oh, I do not have the words! I am deeply concerned I may say even one word that may discourage this sweet saint.

Please pray for my words to be wise, kind, strengthening, and full of grace while being spinkled with truth. My hearts desire is to help her see that a break would be ok, just for a little while, until she is better, and that I believe the Lord will restore her to teaching again, soon. Also, that He will use the "down time" to further use her in some new ministry, and continue His work in her, as His teacher. Also, pray for the Lord to bring a teacher into this spot while she is out, maybe someone new. We will be moving into a larger sanctuary soon, and God is busy preparing laborers for the over crowded fellowship we now have.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Oh Father, grant these words, this heart, and this way with her tomorrow, in the name of our Jesus. Protect her from discouragement, keep your daughter in the midst of her trial, heal her quickly, oh God, that she may serve You again soon. In Jesus name. Amen.

I am not able . . . therefore "He" must do this work, please pray I get out of His way too! Thank you for your prayers, bonnie.
