Conquest By Abstinence
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:47:47 AM »

Does anyone support any orphanages?

I wonder if the most loving thing is to ensure
that we personally bring no more children
into the domain of the Lord's enemies.

 Surely theres enuf already.

I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.
I will say to the north, 'Give them up!'
and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.'

(from Isaiah 43 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isa43:4-7#passage_heading))

a man... arrives at his roost... another cruel day,
and now beer... red meat... and a woman...
what he believes are his moral right...

a woman... using the moral conscience of Ghengis Khan
feels she must get a man... at all costs...
gives the man his fill of what he came for...

a boy... strives... "I must become a man...
I must possess, I must master...
I must demonstrate that I have dominion..."

a legacy... survives these perpetrators...
a bastard borne by a non-virgin...
born to a father who knows nothing of that night...
less still of the boy... who strives.

a doctor... drags a small girl into a corner as she
hangs on to her parent for dear life,
but he rips off her arms and legs and tosses her
in the waste bin ... if only she were a boy...

Sounds like the exact opposite, of God's COMMAND to "Be fruitful & Multiply, & replenish the earth. "  (Ref avail upon request)   This command, like most God has given, was never rescinded.
In fact, that's exactly 1 of the arguments given by those supporting abortion.
Are you pro-life, or pro-death?
Certainly, Christian married couples with the resources to support them have no Biblical reason not to have children.

BTW, this may have been satan's domain before Jesus came, but, since He *DIED* on the cross for us, all those wishing to escape it can, & are under the protection of God as long as they obey & follow Him.

Ok so u are telling me that a christian couple must have children what if they are not mature enough to take care of kids regardless if they have the financial means to take care of kids. I'm against abortion don't get me wrong. I'm just asking about do people just gotta pop out kids just because they are married. I would like to enjoy marriage before diving n to diaper duty.

Johnny,

Please see my post under " Should anyone choose to be married?"

No, I don't believe Christian couples *HAVE* to have kids.

But, neither is there a Biblical mandate forbidding have children, as Rx believes.
(Although there are certainly plenty of people who argue against children.  Granted, people have argued & rebelled against God, for centuries, ever since Eve tried to deny breaking God's command.)
