Lookin' for a Love?

By Kelly Tinning

They all say they are "lookin' for a love..."
of a certain sort.
But it should be obvious
that when even the unlovely give love
they attract a flock around them desiring to know them better,
desiring to rest in the solace
of that unselfish touch.

For many more are the children of the barren woman
than her who has a husband;
and the whole world wishes they could have a friend
who could take them in their arms.
But if they would give it first,
all the taking would be unneeded.
